What are the differences between the website packages?
We like to keeps things simple when it comes to websites so all our brochure website packages come with the same great design, features and functionality. The only difference is the number of pages included.
Why would I need more pages?
If your business offers multiple services, it's beneficial to have a dedicated page for each one on your website. This not only enables you to provide more detailed information about each service, but it also enhances your website's visibility in search engines. By creating individual pages for each service, you increase the chances of attracting potential customers who are specifically searching for those services, ultimately driving more traffic to your site.
What is a custom website?
A custom-built website is designed specifically to meet the unique needs of a business, offering a tailored layout, functionality, and user experience.
Unlike template-based sites, custom websites are developed from scratch with a focus on scalability, performance, and security. They allow for more flexibility in features, design, and SEO optimisation.
While they require more time, resources, and maintenance, custom-built websites offer greater control, ensuring the site perfectly aligns with the business’s goals and growth.
Who own the website after it's built?
Do I need to buy a domain name?
A domain is the unique address people use to find your website online (like www.simplywebsites.uk).
You need a domain for your website to be accessible to visitors. When you choose one, (or we can help you choose one), it's yours as long as you renew it annually. We offer a free .co.uk domain with all new websites, but it will require yearly renewal to keep it active.
What if I want to make changes to the website?
We'll take care of any small changes or updates to the website free of charge however updates that require more work such as adding pages, projects or functionality will be charged at £50p/h or quoted individually.
Why do I have to pay a monthly fee?
The monthly fee is for hosting and maintenance and covers several essential services to keep your website running smoothly. It includes updates for your theme, plugins, and WordPress itself, as well as daily backups, security software, and hosting space.
Think of it like renting a shop – just as you'd rent physical space for your store, you need to rent space on the internet to store or "host" your website. This fee ensures everything stays up-to-date, secure, and accessible online.

How long does it take to build a new website?
Our standard website packages take on average 14 - 21 days to design, build and go live. Ecommerce and custom websites are more complex and require additional time to build. On average these websites take between 4 - 8 weeks to complete.
What information do you need from me?
- logo and colours
- services on offer (this is used to build individual service pages)
- years trading, accreditations, awards, USP's (this is for the content)
- areas you wish to target / cover
- photographs of work / shop / van / team members

Thats all we need and we can take care of the rest.
When do I get to see my new website?
When we build a new website we do it in stages. If we haven't agreed on a template or layout we'll first build the home page and send you a link to preview. This is to make sure you're happy with the style we've built and how it looks. Once you're happy we'll move onto building the rest of the website.
Once the final preview is ready we'll let you know. At this stage take a good look over the website including the content and make sure you're happy with everything. If you give us the thumbs up we'll prepare to set your new website live.
What if I'm not happy with it?
Tell us what you don't like about it and we'll work to get things changed. Whether this is redesigning a specific section or the wording isn't quite right, tell us and we'll work on it until you're happy.
How long before it starts to rank on Google?
This is the question on most businesses minds and one without straight forward answer. When your new website is set live it can be viewed online by searching for your business name or entering your domain name into Google.
